Compliance
A standard worth honouring.

Our role
Diaspora Legacy Group Inc. is a Canadian recruitment agency. We connect candidates with career opportunities at licensed financial-services firms. We are not a securities dealer, insurance agency, mutual-fund dealer, or registered investment firm, and we do not provide financial, tax, legal, insurance, or licensing advice.
Any licensing — for example, the Life Licence Qualification Program (LLQP), the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), or other CIRO-related courses — is sponsored, administered, and supervised by the partner firm that hires you, in accordance with the requirements of CISRO, CIRO, and the relevant provincial regulators.
No cost to candidates
Candidates never pay Diaspora Legacy Group for our recruitment services. We are compensated by partner firms on the basis of successful placements. We never charge fees for applications, interviews, training, licensing, mentorship, or referrals.
How we vet partner firms
We work only with firms that:
- Are properly registered with the applicable Canadian regulators (CIRO, CISRO, provincial securities and insurance regulators).
- Sponsor candidate licensing where required, in good faith.
- Provide structured training, supervision, and mentorship.
- Maintain a documented compliance program.
- Treat candidates respectfully throughout the interview, training, and onboarding process.
We periodically reassess the firms in our network. We will discontinue working with any firm that does not uphold these standards.
Fair recruitment
Diaspora Legacy Group is committed to fair, lawful, and bias-aware recruitment. We assess candidates on demonstrated character, communication, work ethic, and fit for the role. We do not discriminate on the basis of any ground protected under the Canadian Human Rights Act or applicable provincial human-rights legislation, including race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, disability, or a conviction for which a pardon has been granted.
Reasonable accommodations are available throughout our recruitment process. Please contact us if you require an accommodation.
Anti-money-laundering and integrity
We expect every partner firm to operate in compliance with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and related FINTRAC obligations, as well as all applicable Canadian anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and sanctions laws. Diaspora Legacy Group itself does not handle client funds.
Privacy and candidate data
Candidate information is handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
No guarantees of income or outcome
Compensation in advisory roles varies significantly based on individual performance, the firm’s structure, and market conditions. Any income figures referenced on this site are illustrative — drawn from publicly available industry data — and are not promises or projections of what any individual will earn.
Reporting a concern
If you believe a partner firm or a member of our team has acted in a way that conflicts with these standards, please contact us in confidence at info@diasporalegacygroup.com. We take every report seriously.
